What is a Caregiver?

by Christina S

Chronic conditions impact not only the people diagnosed. Diabetes, arthritis, multiple sclerosis and other conditions also change the lives of family and friends. According to the Family Caregiver Alliance, “More than 1 and 6 Americans working full-time or part-time report assisting with the care of an elderly or disabled family member, relative, or friend.” Caregivers’ support is immense. They drive loved ones to medical appointments, help them make lifestyle changes required for treatment, and even provide medication. What’s more, caregivers often receive no payment for their important work. Every situation is unique. No matter their level of commitment, all caregivers offer valuable perspectives that are crucial for our research.

Are you a caregiver? We’ll pay you for your insights. Find out more about opportunities to participate in our studies by calling our office at 215-627-4122. Or send us an email: ihaveavoice@dscience.com.
