Connecting within the Community to Shape the Future of Healthcare
by Gianna Curci
This spring, our team had the privilege of attending several inspiring events hosted by leading patient advocacy organizations including:
Celebration of Hope with the Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia
Walk for Kidneys with the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois
Walk for Hope for IBD with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Take Steps Philly and Take Steps Chicago with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation
Each event served as a powerful reminder of why we do what we do — and who we do it for.
From patients and caregivers to healthcare professionals and advocacy leaders, we were honored to connect with individuals who are actively shaping the future of healthcare through their stories, strength, and support. These events aren’t just walks; they’re celebrations of community, resilience, and progress.
Engaging within the community reinforces the importance of including the patient and caregiver voice in every aspect of healthcare. We’re proud to offer opportunities for individuals to advocate for themselves by participating in human factor studies that directly inform and improve the usability of healthcare products.
Our involvement in these events is not only meaningful, but also genuinely fun. Whether we’re spinning the prize wheel or walking alongside participants, each moment is filled with joy, connection, and hope for the future.
We look forward to continuing to grow these relationships, stay engaged with our communities, and expand partnerships that support a more inclusive and human-centered approach to healthcare.
